What am I going to take from the Introduction to Gender Equality course?
This training is designed to offer participants a foundation on basic concepts of gender and equal treatment and opportunities. This course is specially designed to be taught after the implementation of an Equality Plan in the organization. In this way, the company’s intention to seek effective equality between women and men is consolidated.
The training will begin by explaining the differences between the concepts of sex, gender and sexual orientation through dynamics and discussion of how these concepts are associated with unequal and/or discriminatory treatment. Later we will talk about the social mechanisms that maintain discrimination, as well as the prejudices and gender roles that our environment marks us.
